Barenaked Ladies at Summerville LCBO for “Beer Signing”

On Wednesday, November 28, members of the iconic Canadian rock band, Barenaked Ladies, will be at the Summerhill LCBO in Toronto for a “beer signing” to officially launch their Flying Monkeys collaboration brew, BNL Imperial Chocolate Stout.
The launch celebration will run from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. with the band in attendance from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.   Beer aficionados and BNL fans alike can meet Jim Creeggan, Kevin Hearn, and Tyler Stewart from the band and chat it up with the Flying Monkeys’ brewers and their Founder, Peter Chiodo.
Chiodo says he was awestruck when the Barenaked Ladies accepted the invitation to brew.  “They were totally involved in the birth of this beer.  BNL member Kevin Hearn contributed fantastic original artwork for the beer’s packaging –quirky, colourful, and perfectly ‘Flying Monkeys’ — and the band came to join us for an actual brew day. We’ve never brewed with a better bunch of guys!”
Originally concocted under the working title of ‘BNL Strong Beer,’ the Flying Monkeys and the Ladies created a fudge-y Imperial Chocolate stout with a 10% ABV that really lives up to its final name (BNL Imperial Chocolate Stout). The 750ml bottles are beautifully packaged in stunning boxes to commemorate this special collaboration and are perfect for collectors and cellaring –and just in time for holiday parties.
